This course is the first half of the Open Water Diver course. It consists of one morning of theory, one afternoon in the pool or lagoon and two ocean dives.

It can be completed in 1 1/2 days. You receive the same material as the Open Water Course, the main difference being is that it certifies you only to dive with a Divemaster. You can upgrade to the full Open Water qualification by completing the course at any PADI dive centre worldwide.

PADI continues to set the standard and have recently upgraded the PADI Open Water Diver Course to easily be the market leading entry level dive certification. PADI educational materials are of a high quality and through their partner organisation, Diving Science and Technology (DSAT) PADI developed the most commonly used recreational dive tables in the world.

When you go diving you are likely to be surrounded by other people that learned through the PADI system of diver education. Knowing that you have recieved the same quality training as your peers will give you confidence and make your diving more enjoyable.

Diving is a safe, fun activity, but it can be dangerous if you are not properly trained. Don't leave it to chance, learn with the worlds leading training agency through a 5 star dive resort.

By cutting corners and using inferior training programmes some dive centres can offer very cheap courses. Be sure you choose to learn to dive with a dive centre recognised as being committed to excellence through the PADI 5 star designation.
